During a defensive struggle on Sunday, the Broncos clinched a 13-11 victory over the winless New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix threw an early touchdown pass and kicker Wil Lutz provided the game-winning go-ahead field goal to secure the hard-fought win.

Dominant Display Wins Game

Despite recording nine sacks against Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 after giving up a two-point play in the third quarter. Interestingly, the Jets managed a mere 82 offensive yards throughout the contest.

The Denver quarterback, who completed 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, led a decisive 12-play, 65-yard possession that culminated in Lutz's 27-yard field goal with just over five minutes remaining.

Record Struggles for Jets Offense

In spite of their horrendous offensive display, the Jets still had possession with a chance to score a possible victory. But Fields was tackled on fourth down from the Denver 44 when head coach Aaron Glenn opted to attempt the conversion rather than sending out specialist Nick Folk for a long field-goal attempt.

The Jets quarterback had difficulties throughout, connecting on just 9 of 17 attempts for 45 yards. New York ended up with minus-10 passing yards, the fewest in any game since 1998.

"The aerial attack was completely absent," Glenn stated after the game.
